Starting next week, the Humor Code crew will be all over Lit Fest, a celebration of all things writerly hosted by Lighthouse Writers Workshop, Denver’s preeminent literary program. Whether you’re an aspiring or established writer, or just someone who’s interested in a behind-the-scenes look at the publishing process, this is one festival you won’t want to miss.
First, this coming Monday, June 9, Joel will be part of a brown-bag lunch panel on how to achieve financial success in the writing business, from pitching freelance stories to publishing books. Yes, this is really possible – Joel will reveal all his tricks!
Then, next Tuesday, June 17, the Humor Code’s secret weapon – social media manager Ron Doyle – will host a brown-bag lunch panel on how writers can best use social media. Judging from what Ron has done for the Humor Code, this is one seminar you will not want to miss.
If you’re not a Lighthouse member, each panel costs $30. If you’re interested, tickets are going fast , so it’s best to pre-order online. Plus, the two-week Lit Fest is chock full of other fascinating seminars, workshops, parties and even consultations with literary agents. Check out the full brochure here. Come on by and get some culture!
